Alice Mathew, RN, MSN, CRNI, critical care clinical nurse educator, has been chosen to present at the Infusion Nurses Society's annual meeting and industrial exhibition, in May 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee. The abstract Alice will present is titled, "Determining the Effect of Changing Central Line Needless Hubcaps Prior to Obtaining Blood Samples from a Central Line."  Alice is the only nurse from Ohio selected for the abstract presentation that will be featured in the July-August Issue of the Journal of Infusion Nursing. It is true that from Ohio, I am the only one selected for the abstract presentation in the INS National meeting in May 2009. My manuscript on this research is accepted by the Journal of Infusion Nursing for publication and will be published in the July-August issue. People from China also presenting in the conference. That means, they received abstracts internationally.

Alice Mathew also received two national awards in 2008. She won the Showcase in Nursing Research Excellence Award at the 2008 Showcase in Nursing Excellence Conference at Troy University in Alabama.
